My favorite Accessory – Ephesians 6:15

My favorite accessory is a poem written in response to a Bible Study assignment given by Pastor Michael McCoy, Word of Life Christian Church to give a personal testimony of the part of armor you most identify with.

With my feet shod
with the preparation of the gospel of peace,
I can reach those that Jesus called the least;
the meek and humble I can teach
because they are the ones that desire to feast.

With comfortable sandals and a cotton dress,
I can worship my way past the best dressed
and throw myself at the altar where I can die to this flesh.
I kick of my sandals and enter his rest.

These feet were made for walking
and the walk does the talking
because it is not what I say, but what I do
that allows me to share the love of God with you.

So, my feet are shod with the preparation
of the gospel of peace
and to those who won’t listen, I shake the dust off my feet
as a testimony against them that will not hear,
and Jesus is the lamp to my feet, so I will not fear.
