Web Development

Web developers are the scribes of the digital age.

Web developers are the scribes of the digital age, using their skills to create websites that are aesthetically pleasing, highly functional and creative. As technology continues to evolve, web developers must stay ahead of the curve to create intuitive, creative, and effective web sites.

This is an industry where every facet of a scribe’s gifts can be exercised. When customers don’t understand what kind of content is needed, the Administrative Scribe can develop an organizational structure for the content that will provide all the information a visitor will be seeking; the Creative Scribe can create interesting content that is intriguing to the reader and causes them to act or respond; the Instructional Scribe can create directions, FAQ’s, and instructions that bring clarity to the message; the Prophetic Scribe can use their gifts to articulate the vision and intent of the client; and the Technology Scribe can use their toolbox to manage and activate the web site.

The first step in creating an effective website is to understand the user’s needs and goals. Web developers must be able to think critically and determine what features will best meet the user’s needs. They must also be able to translate those needs into a visually appealing and intuitive design. This requires an understanding of the latest web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Once the design is complete, web developers must use their coding skills to bring the design to life. This involves writing code that is both efficient and secure. It also requires an understanding of web standards, such as how to optimize for different browsers and devices.

Finally, web developers must be able to test their code and make sure it works properly. This includes testing for compatibility across different browsers and devices, as well as ensuring that the website is secure and performs well.
